Morley Primary School has a long and proud history of delivering high-quality education for its children and community.
The school was recognised as Outstanding by Ofsted on four occasions (1999, 2006, 2009 and 2012) and has consistently been ranked among the highest-performing schools nationally. In 2012 and again in 2015, Morley was recognised as a top-performing school, and in 2017 was ranked 2nd nationally, followed by 30th in 2018. We were also in the top 2% of school nationally in 2023.
In January 2026, under the new national Ofsted framework introduced in November 2025, Morley was judged to be meeting the Expected Standard across all areas, with Attendance and Behaviour recognised at Strong Standard, and Safeguarding Standards Met. The inspection recognised the strength of the school’s culture, leadership and sustained academic outcomes.
In recent years, Morley’s academic performance has remained significantly above national averages. In 2025, 92% of pupils achieved the expected standard in reading, writing and mathematics combined, compared to 62% nationally. Over time, outcomes in core subjects have consistently placed the school well above national benchmarks.
However, Morley is about far more than examination outcomes. Our focus remains firmly on the care, nurture and development of the whole child. Academic excellence sits alongside strong personal development, leadership opportunities and a rich curriculum that enables children to make meaningful connections in their learning.
Ofsted recognised the unique culture of the school, writing:
“With remarkable unity, pupils and staff embrace the passion and sense of togetherness within ‘The Morley Feeling’.”
We are proud of the strong partnership we share with parents, governors and the wider community. Their support ensures that every child at Morley Primary School continues to be given every possible opportunity to achieve everything.
Parent View
We want to know what you, our parents, feel about our school. We welcome your responses to our annual questionnaire, and to the Parent View questionnaire. We are always happy to answer questions and listen to ideas to ensure that our school continues to move forward to best support our pupils. More information on actions we have, and will be taking, in response to the questionnaires is available on the Parents' page of the website.
