School self-evaluation

School improvement targets (our key issues) are agreed following our on-going school self evaluation. We make use of the Education Endowment Foundation in prioritising our school improvement work, or for development work that may not feature in our key issues. This year we are continuing to work on developing an outstanding curriculum which will inspire, support and motivate all pupils, whilst enabling them to have a rich, high quality educational experience; ensuring governance continues to develop its monitoring role; further developing our links with our sister school in Australia, and further encouraging parental involvement through Class Dojo and Seesaw.

Our current key issues have been set as:

  • Expose children to a rich and varied vocabulary to ensure they maximise their potential

  • Ensure that all pupils are supported in reaching the highest levels in reading by ensuring that they answer questions fully

  • Ensure all pupils are focussed in learning and making accelerated progress through the curriculum so they are back on track for Summer 2021 assessment cycle

  • Ensure staff and pupils' wellbeing is assured through the school year as we adjust practice and procedures in relation to the Covis19 pandemic

  • Ensure new staff have time and resources to build relationships with staff and pupils during this time

  • Embed the new RSE/PSHCE curriculum by interweaving it through class themes

  • Ensure Governors are more informed on school improvement by developing their monitoring/link roles

  • Support ArtsMark lead and Arts Ambassadors to develop ArtsMark programme in school

  • Ensure school budget meets need, is sustainable, and is understood by SLT/GB

  • Develop continuous provision across Y1 and Y2 to ensure that pupils quickly refocus and have every opportunity to maintain wellbeing and enjoyment in learning

Our Virtual Tour is now available on the Admissions page under the Parents tab. Thank you to Lily, Isla, Aniya, Ava-Mae, Olivia, Tom and Finley for producing it. We hope you enjoy it.
