Current Development Areas

School self-evaluation

 

School improvement targets (our key issues) are agreed following our on-going school self evaluation. We make use of the Education Endowment Foundation in prioritising our school improvement work, or for development work that may not feature in our key issues. This year we are continuing to work on developing an outstanding curriculum which will inspire, support and motivate all pupils, whilst enabling them to have a rich, high quality educational experience; ensuring governance continues to develop its monitoring role; further developing our links with our sister school in Australia, and further encouraging parental involvement through Class Dojo and Seesaw.

 

Our current key issues have been set as:

 

  • Working with our partner small schools cluster to develop the creative curriculum and to support mental health and wellbeing through the ArtsMark programme

 

  • Develop focussed active learning using the outdoors so that all EYFS pupils maximise progress

 

  • Ensure that all pupils are supported in reaching the highest levels in reading by ensuring that they answer questions fully

 

  • Embed the new PSHCE curriculum by interweaving it through class themes

 

  • Ensure that assessment of the wider curriculum accurately identifies areas for improvement
