Who's Who

Who's Who at Morley School

Morley Primary is a small school with 3 mixed age classes.  Our children spend at least 2 years with each of their teachers.  Our staff delight in seeing how eager the children are to come to school each morning.

Morley staff won an award for excellence in the Pearson National Teaching awards in 2016. This is because they are all amazing, and work incredibly hard to give our children the very best they can.

Mr Taylor is 'officially the second best teacher in England, but we know he's really the best'. He is our Deputy Headteacher.  He has taught Class 3 for 11 years.  Mr Taylor plays the piano for all our productions.  He is in charge of ICT, English, music, Anti-Bullying, Key Stage 2 and curriculum development.  Mr Taylor won a national silver award for being outstanding.

Mrs Richards is Class 2's teacher and came to Morley 12 years ago.  She teaches Years 3 and 4.  She is our science coordinator, and is also responsible for RE and PE.  Mrs Richards is also our Healthy Schools coordinator.

Singing for Miss Carroll (Mrs Richards)

Our school choir sang at Miss Carroll's wedding in 2017. We visited the beautiful Stanley St Andrew's Church to practise. We made Miss Carroll cry. We would just like to say, Miss Carroll, it is all about you.

Mrs Brammer has taught in Primary, Infant and Junior schools over the past 5 years in several schools including one in Germany. She joins the Morley family teaching Class 2 alongside Mrs Richards.

Mrs Taylor is our teacher in Class 1. She is in charge of Early Years, maths, RSE, KS1 assessment, and is our SENDCo. Mrs Taylor is fairly new to Morley, although she has taught for several years at 2 other local schools.

Miss Fernie is our School Business Officer. She looks after all the finances in school, and our school building. She supports with safeguarding, and helps school to run smoothly.

Mrs Fenlon works to support both Class 3 and Class 1.  She also runs our before and after school facility Play and Learn. Mrs Fenlon first came to us as a volunteer 14 years ago, but then trained with us as a Teaching Assistant.

Mrs Palmer supports pupils in Class 2. Mrs Palmer came to us 10 years ago.

Mrs Gedney, Mrs Brown and Mrs Pynegar are our lunchtime supervisors.  They make sure lunchtimes run smoothly.

Our Caretaker's Mrs Pynegar & Mrs Jackson make school clean and safe for us.

Our student teachers are Miss Valerie Benton who works in Class 3 and Miss Eva Stergiou who works in Class 1.  They will be with us throughout the academic year 2021/22.

We have one place available in Year 3, and one place in EYFS/KS1 for September 2021
