Come and see what it's like to be a teacher!
Morley Primary is hosting coffee mornings for potential teaching trainees on Thursday 21st November and Thursday 5th December, both from 10.30 - 11.30. Come and see real children in a real school doing real educational things.
Further days will be available in the Summer Term. Please see 4Derbyshire's Teaching School Alliance's website for other schools who are hosting coffee mornings across the county.
Training Teachers with School Direct
Morley Primary works with 4Derbyshire Alliance to recruit and train future teachers.
Each year we interview and select new trainees who are then placed in 4Derbyshire schools. Miss Marsland and Mr Taylor lead on the training for these new teachers, supporting their teaching practices and quality assuring their work. This is undertaken in conjunction with the University of Derby who teach academic subject knowledge, and who are the awarding body.
This training is continued into the first year of teaching with our Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) programme, and into the second and third years with our Recently Qualified Teacher (RQT) programme.
Open Days and Evenings are held at the University, as well as at other venues around the area, for example Landau Forte College.
If you are considering teaching, or know anyone else who is, then see our flyers below for further information, or contact Rachel Longmate, our School Direct lead or Victoria Jones, our alliance manager on email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you would like to apply for a teacher training programme, follow the link to UCAS and look for '4Derbyshire Teaching School'. You can then apply directly to us.
