Our school admissions are coordinated by Derbyshire County Council. Parents will need to apply to their home Local Authority (usually Derbyshire or Derby City) for admission the following September. The application round is open between 11th November and 15th January. Once all applications are submitted, the Local Authority completes the processing and allocates places. Siblings are allocated first, and then other pupils are ranked in order of distance from school.
Parents who are not offered a place for their child are welcome to ask for an appeal. The appeal panel is independent of school and Local Authority. Appeals are heard during June and July.
We hold an annual Open Day, usually the second Thursday in October, when prospective parents, families and friends are welcome to visit us between 10.30 am and 7.00pm. You will be shown around by our older pupils who will answer your questions, and tell you about life in our school. We hope you will join us.
